If you experience dry natural hair or scalp, you can use rose water to moisturize the hair and soothe your scalp. And as you revitalize your scalp, your hair naturally becomes less dry and frizzy. Spraying rose water on your strands also has a way of restoring bounce and shine to the hair. 

To moisturize dry hair or scalp, mix rose water and glycerin in a spray bottle, spray onto the hair, and massage into the scalp. Leave in for an hour and rinse off with shampoo. You can also spritz it onto the hair as a daily moisturizer. 

2. Remove dandruff 

Rose water is said to be one of the best natural remedies for dandruff. It has a mild astringent which can help with blood circulation and remove dandruff when applied to the scalp. After application, massage it in and leave in for 15 - 20 minutes before washing it off. 

3. Add to your shampoo

This is the easiest way of using the rose water in your natural hair routine. Add some drops of rose water into your shampoo and wash your hair with it. This will keep your hair hydrated and smelling like roses. 

4. Use as an after shampoo rinse

After you have shampooed your hair, use the rose water for a final rinse. Take a cup of rose water, rinse your hair with it and don't wash off. It will add shine to your hair, leave it conditioned, and smell great too.

5. Helps with excess oils

What you need to make rose water

  1. Rose petals
  2. Distilled water
  3. 2 small bowls
  4. A large pot
  5. Plastic bottle
  6. A pack of ice

How to make rose water

  1. If you can get freshly grown roses, use 4 of them for this process. If you can't, buy organic dried rose petals.
  2. For fresh roses, take off the petals and wash them of bugs and dirt.
  3. Get a large pot and a small bowl. Place the small bowl face down in the pot.
  4. Put your rose petals into the pot and pour distilled water into it.
  5. Then put another small bowl on top the first small bowl.
  6. Cover up the pot tightly with the cover upside down, place a pack of ice on top, and boil the water.
  7. By the time the ice melts the process where heat and cold contrast has started. The rose water will leak up to the top of the top and into the small bowl.
  8. Allow it to cool and then fill up your plastic bottle.
